Lance loses two seconds

Well, when the peloton finally rolled into town twenty minutes after everybody else had already started on their crunchy energy bars, Lance Armstrong's lead had gone down by 2 seconds. Careful watching of the peloton reveals that it was a wedge, so he didn't finish back there; no it was because of a sprint. Now I think that the whole sprinting and time trial thing is ridiculous. In baseball, is there a home run derby every month that counts as a game, or a punt pass and kick competition to break up the monotony of the NFL's 17 weeks? No. The simple rason is that the game is the game. This means that their product is good enough to attract fans, without having to resort to the sham of a staged mini-race. 'Nuff said.
