Good news first. The Gophers won. The bad news. Denny Hocking won't be back. Now, of you take a look at his numbers, you'll think "why, of course! he hit .250 with 3 homers and 22 ribbies!" Well, if you think like that, then you're missing the point. He has been with the team since 1993. He has helped them a lot. I think that it's unfortunate that the Twins won't let him help them win next season. Anyway, I just though I'd get that off my chest. How about a little politics. I heard today that the Dems were criticizing Bush for not focusing on domestic issues. Well, you morons, times are getting better, aren't they? Besides, Iraq needs his attention. It is amazing how Americas tolerance for pain has decreased so rapidly. In WWII, or even in Vietnam, the total number of Americans killed would be all in a days work. Now, I'm not saying that they don't matter, heaven forfend; I am just trying to make the point that when our service men and (got to be PC) women join, they know what they're getting into. And they would, I am sure, much rather have a country behind them that supports them, as opposed to the current one, where %99 of Dem's (%4.3 US Pop.) think that Bush, and to a lesser extent them, are the problem. Well, onto happier things. The Gophers once again almost blew a big lead, but thankfully won over Wisconsin to not only preserve their Big Ten title hopes, but more importantly, captured Paul Bunyans axe from the Badgers. There were two MN-WI games in less then a week in the dome, and they went 1-1. The Good way as far as I am concerned. Well, have a good night, Mr. G. Mantle
