Yuck

3763. That's right, there were more people watching Harry Potter in Theinsville, WI then at the game in Montreal. That is just discusting. Thankfully, the Twins won in extra innings. I didn't see the homer, but it sounds a little cheap. That's fine though, I really don't mind. We won, and that's all that matters. There was a funny little incident which I'l tell you baout presently. Well, here goes. Before the game Luis Rivas was pulled out of the lineup because of tightness somewhere. John Gordon, the Twins announcer, said though that he'd be available to come in for defensive purposes late. Rivas did come, but as a pinch-runner. And he scored the game-tying run. Then, he hit the game-winning homerun. Kind of ironic, eh? Our soft hitting second baseman actually did something normal. To put this in perspective, I saw him hit his last round tripper. Right after Pesach. Anyway, tommorow the Twins throw out some guy who's never made a start. Ridiculous. There is no reason why Carlos Silva shouldn't start. He's had his five days of rest, and we can beat Milwaukee with Brad Radke. I just have no idea what Ron Gardenhire and Terry Ryan think they're doing. Of course if the kid throws a three hit shutout tommorow I won't complain. bye Posted by Greenmantle at June 16, 2004 10:17 PM
