Nasty
Well, I go out of town for a couple of days, and what happens? The Twins lose four in a row and are out of first place? Nasty. Thankfully I'm going out of town tommorow so they can win a little then. Meanwhile, the Saints just completed their first ever four game home sweep. That's really amazing, considering that they've won so many championships in their 12 year history. Or maybe 11. Who knows, who cares? Anyway, for the second time this season they set a new attendance record which is also pretty amazing. All in all, it's good to have at least one winning team here.
Anyway, I was in Colorado. While there I rafted the Royal Gorge and climbed a fourteener. Both were fun. The rafting was more enjoyable, but the climb was more rewarding. Should I explain? Of course I should. The rafting wasn't as physically arduous, but it just wasn't as tough. I almost fell out once which was pretty fun. We were coming down a really narrow part of the gorge, and spun the raft around as it hit the wall. Well, my head almost got crushed against the rock, and then I nearly flipped out. I have no idea how I stayed in the boat.
Rafting wasn't nearly as dangerous, but it was a lot more work. I also don't know how I climbed up, but it sure was cool to be at the top of the mountain. Until the hail started. If you get up Grey's Peak look for my name in the white canister. It's on its own piece of paper. I don't write some with commoners. Anyway, I'll write agin on Tuesday night. Remember that the Tour de France starts soon, and of course we are going for Lance. bye
